Fair

Frieze Los Angeles

David Zwirner is pleased to feature a selection of new paintings by Joe Bradley at the 2024 edition of Frieze Los Angeles. These paintings are the first in a new group of works which Bradley will present this coming April in New York, in what will be the artist’s first solo exhibition with David Zwirner since the gallery announced his representation last spring.

Over the past twenty years, Bradley has constantly reinvented his approach to art making, creating a distinctive body of work that ranges from modular, minimalist-style paintings and sculptures to rough-hewn, heavily worked surfaces featuring pictographic and abstract elements. Recent refined and layered compositions are characterized by a vivid interplay between the formally composed and considered and the spontaneous and instinctive.

Additionally, the booth will feature works by Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Josef Albers, Katherine Bernhardt, Huma Bhabha, R. Crumb, Noah Davis, Suzan Frecon, Yayoi Kusama, John McCracken, Alice Neel, Chris Ofili, Raymond Pettibon, Robert Ryman, Dana Schutz, Steven Shearer, Al Taylor, Wolfgang Tillmans, Rose Wylie, and Lisa Yuskavage.

Coinciding with the fair, David Zwirner will present a solo exhibition of works by John McCracken and a group exhibition of works by Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, On Kawara, Sol LeWitt, Palermo, Robert Ryman, Fred Sandback, and Richard Serra at its Los Angeles gallery.
