David Zwirner is pleased to participate in Taipei Dangdai 2024 with a group of works selected by Wolfgang Tillmans from 1986 to 2022. The presentation includes still lifes, portraits, and abstract images, thereby exemplifying Tillmans’s diverse subject matter and the wide-ranging concerns that underpin his practice. The artist’s work is also currently the subject of a solo exhibition, The Point Is Matter, on view through May 11 at David Zwirner Hong Kong.
The gallery’s presentation will feature a number of important works by Gerhard Richter that span his vast oeuvre, including paintings from his 25 Farben series, lacquer paintings behind glass, editions, and works on paper. The booth will also showcase Yayoi Kusama's signature pumpkin sculptures and Infinity Net paintings. In addition, the gallery will debut vibrant new paintings by Emma McIntyre that exemplify the New Zealand–born, Los Angeles–based artist’s instinctual yet deeply considered practice. David Zwirner recently announced representation of the artist in February 2024.
The gallery will further present recent and historic works by Mamma Andersson, Katherine Bernhardt, Michaël Borremans, Marcel Dzama, Neo Rauch, Thomas Ruff, Josh Smith, Al Taylor, Merrill Wagner, and Rose Wylie.
