Shio Kusaka

David Zwirner is pleased to present its second exhibition with Shio Kusaka (b. 1972), which will also mark the reopening of the gallery’s newly renovated Paris location. Known for her playful and open approach to the medium of ceramics, as well as her characteristic line work and sense of color, Kusaka crafts vessels that embrace organic imperfections, recurrent techniques and patterns, and imagery that alludes to historical and contemporary forms. The presentation in Paris follows one light year, the artist’s inaugural solo exhibition with David Zwirner, in 2022, and will feature Kusaka’s new ceramic works as well as an installation of hanging lanterns.
