David Zwirner is pleased to return for ART021 2024 (Booth C13).
The booth will highlight important works by the Belgian artist Luc Tuymans. The artist will be the subject of a major retrospective at UCCA Beijing, Luc Tuymans: The Past, opening November 16, that will feature approximately eighty works drawn from the full scope of his career.
The gallery will also present a major painting by the American artist Scott Kahn, Circular Driveway (1983), an early example of the artist’s landscapes, which blend real and surreal elements while rooted in everyday life and experiences. David Zwirner Hong Kong will present the artist’s debut exhibition with the gallery, Once in a Blue Moon, opening November 19.
In addition, the gallery will feature works by American artist Merrill Wagner, showcasing her distinctive body of work characterized by its expansive approach to abstraction, existing between the categories of painting, relief, sculpture, and installation. The booth will include a wide range of works that reflect Wagner’s diverse use of materials, from large-scale slate sculptures to paintings on steel and impressionistic landscapes.
The gallery will also present works by Mamma Andersson, Lucas Arruda, Katherine Bernhardt, Marlene Dumas, Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, Elizabeth Peyton, Neo Rauch, Thomas Ruff, and Wolfgang Tillmans.
