“The artist’s compelling and predictive use of aphorisms has blurred the lines between political slogans, poetry and the language of advertising, offering a dark mirror for our meme-driven age… Barbara was always right.”  Read the full feature in T: The New York Times Style Magazine

The 2020 Greats issue—for which Kruger designed the cover—celebrates five visionaries who, in mastering their crafts, have changed their fields and the culture at large. Also featured this year are Dawoud Bey, Angela Davis, FKA Twigs, and Sigourney Weaver.

A new work by Kruger will be exhibited for the first time in 20/20, a group exhibition featuring artists from the gallery’s program at our 537 West 20th Street location in New York, opening October 29.
