A conversation between Harold Ancart and Jean-Marie Gallais
September 22, 2021
Join us for a conversation between artist Harold Ancart and Jean-Marie Gallais, curator at the Centre Pompidou-Metz, in celebration of the artist’s new publication, Traveling Light. A book signing will immediately follow inside the artist’s exhibition, La Grande Profondeur (The Deep End). Traveling Light explores a rich body of work that meditates on the expansive possibilities of painting. Ancart captures the experience of landscapes seen in motion or from a distance: trees blurred while driving past, a far-off inky-black sea, an evocative Martian mountain range. You can explore related paintings from the artist’s 2020 exhibition in New York here. Tuesday, October 19, 5–6:30 PM Paris | 108, rue Vieille du Temple Kindly note that space is limited and advance RSVP is required. RSVP to albane@davidzwirner.com
