Bozar has invited Joe Bradley (°1975, Maine) to present new work in the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels. This New York-based artist has worked his way through various styles and media – from rudimentary line drawings on found cardboard and saturated canvases which reference Color Field painting to modern monochromes and bronze sculptures. Over the past decade, Bradley has become one of the most closely watched and debated painters of his generation. His work was included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial, New York Painting at Kunstmuseum Bonn (2015) and MoMA’s The Forever Now: Contemporary Painting in an Atemporal World (2014–15). He also has had solo exhibitions at MoMA PS1 and Le Consortium in Dijon, to name but a few.
