Stan Douglas has been appointed to the Order of Canada, an honor that recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the country.

Since its creation in 1967, individuals from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order. The contributions of these trailblazers are varied, yet they have all enriched the lives of others and made a difference to the country of Canada.

Born in Vancouver, Stan Douglas has represented Canada at many international exhibitions including the 2022 Venice Biennale, and his work has been exhibited globally, including Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy and the United States.
